Daniel Latorre
Daniel, native of São Paulo, is the man of the HAMMOND ORGAN in Brazil. He studied piano and became specialized to play jazz, blues and rock on the Hammond B-3 and received lessons from many North-American organ players like Reuben Wilson and Deacon Jones. Between jams, shows, workshops, recordings and special appearances, Daniel shared stages with many international artists like Ian Paice (Deep Purple), Andy Summers (Police), Rob Mostert (Dutch organ player) and important Brazilian artists/bands like Caetano Veloso, Lobão, Edgar Scandurra, Os Paralamas do Sucesso, Rita Lee (of Os Mustantes fame), Ed Motta, Lee Marcucci and many others. He has also performed with guitar player of Sepultura's band, Andreas Kisser in his solo project (Brazil Rock Stars project 2000-2008).

From 2004 to 2014, Daniel had his own signature rotary speaker called Latorre MVTA, that he supervised the project, it was a replica of the famous Leslie 122 manufactured by Meteoro amplifier company. In 2009 Daniel Latorre founded a band called Hammond Grooves that played countless shows not only in Brazil, but also in the European countries like Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, Netherlands and Poland, when in recent years they had three well received tours across the entire country. Hammond Grooves released an album Funktastic in 2016 and had invited special guests like Ronnie Cubber and John Pizzarelli, between many Brazilian famous musicians for his concerts and festivals.

In 2020, Daniel has developed a brand new project, D.L. ORGANization together with the top Polish musicians Bart Łupiński (trombone) and Piotr Biudniak (drums).

Daniel also professionally restores original Hammond Organs, he studied this art for 20 years with Mr. Warwick Kerr jr., a famous certified Hammond Co. technician. Daniel restored many Hammond Organs, some of his works were used by many important organ players who from time to time rent his equipment for concerts and recordings, such as John Medeski (USA), Barbara Dennerlein (DE), Lonnie Smith (USA), Jon Lord (UK), Booker T. Jones (USA), Reuben Wilson (USA), Brian Auger (UK), Pat Bianchi (USA), and many others.
