Lou Bennett
Bennett (* 1926 in the USA) started his musical profession as a pianist in Baltimore. But soon the sounds of the early Jimmy Smith influenced him. 1960, he moved to Paris/France where he worked together with Kenny Clarke. He founded his own band call The Lou Bennett Quartet, and made recordings with it. René Thomas, the Belgian guitar player, was one of his favorite sidemen. Lou passed away on February 1997.
