Mecco Guidi
Mecco (Michele) became passionate about music from an early age, and attended the Enzo Pinza musical high school in Ravenna. In 1994 he began to take up the profession as a pianist/keyboardist, and a few years later he began touring Europe with a band: Switzerland, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Norway. In that period, it was helpful to listen to historical organists such as Jimmy Smith, Jack Mc Duff, Larry Young etc ... Mecco approached jazz and began to deepen his study also on the Hammond organ, accompanying in various Soul-Blues festivals: Louisiana Red, Cheryl Porter, Wesley Johnson, Sweet Georgia Brown, to name a few.

In 2001, he formed a project called "Capiozzo & Mecco" together with the drummer Christian Capiozzo. He also started a series of concerts in New York in various clubs. With Christian Capiozzo and Daniele Santimone he accompanied the American trumpeter Jimmy Owens in various concerts. He thus participated in various tours with the Jimmy Owens Group project, which took him to Russia and Siberia at the Novakuzniech Jazz Festival organized by Billy Cobham.

In 2005 Mecco recorded in organ trio with Joe Pisto on guitar and Bruno Farinelli on drums the CD "The space beetween us". In 2009, a tribute album to Wayne Shorter was released as organ trio. In 2010 he began his collaboration with Luca Sapio, the new voice of Italian Soul. On various European tours they have the opportunity to open concerts to Sharon Jones and The Dap-kings, Paul Weller, Trombone Shorty, Nick Waterhouse. They return in 2012 to record the album "Everyday Is Gonna Be The Day".

Since 2003 he has begun the collaboration with the artist and songwriter Cesare Cremonini with whom he collects many tours coming up to the present day with the release of the double cd "Piu 'che Logico live". Finally, he collaborated with Raphael Gualazzi for a few years in a piano/voice and Hammond organ duo project.

He boasted numerous collaborations in concerts, tours, festivals and jazz reviews to name a few: Jimmy Owens, Enrico Rava, Luisiana Red, Robert Bonisolo, Jesse Davis, Mario Biondi, Cesare Cremonini, Franco Califano, Raphael Gualazzi, Cheryl Porter, Tanya Michelle, James Thompson, Orlando Johnson, Wesley Johnson, Randy Bersen, Flavio Boltro, Fabrizio Bosso , Marco Tamburini, Gigi Ciffarelli, Jimmy Villotti, Carlo Atti, Giovanni Amato.
