Paolo Vianello
Paolo initially studied organ and then moved on to the piano, attending the conservatory of Venezia until the fifth year.

In 1988 he enrolled in the "Thelonius Monk" and studied with Marcello Tonolo. In those years his interest shifted towards jazz; he studied with Paolo Birro and participated in numerous seminars with internationally renowned musicians, such as Mike Abene, Walter Bishop jr., Jaki Byard, Gary Dial, Dik Oatts.

The first performances in Veneto clubs with local musicians date back to 1990. In this period he started the collaboration with the guitarist Gianluca Mosole with whom, in addition to carrying out an intense concert activity, in 1991 he recorded the CD "Magazine", which also includes Tom Brechtlein (drums) and Oscar Cartaya (bass). He held numerous concerts in many Italian and European jazz clubs; he participated in various jazz festivals in Italy and abroad (Bergamo Jazz, Iseo Jazz, Graz Jazz Festival).

In these years he collaborated with many musicians, Italian and foreign: Mark Adams, Francesco Bearzati, Fabrizio Bosso, Marco Castelli, Franco Cerri, Giannantonio De Vincenzo, Edu Hebling, Lee Konitz, Fabio Morgera, Valery Ponomarev, Cheryl Porter, the Tonolo brothers. From jazz his interests spread to funky-soul. He participated in the live CD "Vocal Groove Jazz Dance" by "Six Out" and collaborated with the Venetian group "Batisto Coco", with which he plays at the Latin American Festival in Verona.

Since 1996 he has been playing with Riky Gianko's group, thanks to which he can collaborate with some great Italian pop artists (Franco Battiato, Eugenio Finardi, Gino Paoli). In 1998 he joined the staff of the "Venice Gospel Ensemble", with whom he recorded the CD "Christmas Time Out" in November of the same year and in 2000 "Ol 'Westbound Coach", in which he also participated as an arranger of some songs.

His didactic activity is intense in modern music schools such as "Il Suono Improvviso" in Venezia, the "Monteverdi" in Musile di Piave and the "Filarmonica" in Cittadella. In December 2002, in collaboration with the Università della Svizzera Italiana and the Academy of Architecture of Mendrisio, he participated in a live event at the Cinema Teatro di Chiasso accompanying on the piano the vision of the film "The man with the camera".
