Piotr Figiel
Piotr (*1940) was pianist, organist, composer, arranger, and conductor. He studied at the conservatoty in Kraków. In 1963, he debuted as pianist and a year later as composer; he wrote songs ("Wędrowny cyrk") for Maria Koterbska. Until the year 1967, he cooperated with:
- Orkiestrą Taneczną Polskiego Radia, conductor Edward Czarnecki
- Big-Band, conductor Andrzej Kurylewicz,
- Orkiestrą Polskiego Radia i Telewizji, conductor Bogusław Klimczuk
 
Later, Piotr founded his own orchestra, the Orkiestra Radiowego Studia Rytm, which he conducted himself. In the years 1967 through 1969, he played the organ in the international ensemble The Clavers and they toured Sweden and Finland. From 1971, he made a lot of recordings of instrumental music for the Polish Radio. His compositions were performed on MIDEM in Cannes/France in the year 1974. Among others, he composed the music for the drama "Sen Pogardy" written by Krzysztof Kamil Baczyński. This drama was performed in the opera of Wrocław.
 
1981, He went to Berlin/Germany where he worked as pianist and arranger for the Big Band of Radio RIAS. He made recordings for the Global Music Group.
 
Piotr passed away in 2011.
