Marcel Thomi
Marcel started playing his father's instrument at the age of four. At 16, he won the national qualification at the Technics Organ Festival and then represented Switzerland at the World Music Festival in Vancouver.
 
In 2004 he was honored as a pianist at the Montreux Jazz Festival with the Young Lions Award "Best Soloist" and received the Werner and Berti Alter Prize 2004. He completed his jazz piano studies (with distinction) in 2004 at the Zürich Jazz School with Andy Harder and Chris Wiesendanger.
 
Marcel has performed with various bands and recorded jazz productions, including Nils Wogram Nostalgia Trio, Christoph Grab's Tough Tenor, LSD-3, ORGAN-X, Marcel Thomi's X-Mas Songs, Convergencia, Christoph Grabs Science Fiction Theatre, El Zorro y su Clan, Pius Baschnagels Latinworld, Mark Hauser b3 Quartett, Vali Mayer/Charly Antolini/Häns'che Weiss/Fred Haas/Marcel Thomi.
 
He gave concerts at home and abroad, among others with Nils Wogram, Dejan Terzic, Charly Antolini, Lyambiko, Häns'che Weiss, Vali Mayer, Andi Scherrer, Ann Malcolm, Nat Su, Marianne Racine, Bernhard Bamert, Elmar Frey, Christoph Grab, Roberto Bossard, Roli von Flüe, Pius Baschnagel, Patrick Sommer, Felix Utzinger, Uli Heinzler, Tony Renold, Rätus Flisch, Rahel Hadorn, Dani Schenker, Dominique Girod, Tobias Friedli, Raffaele Lunardi, Peter Haas, Ernst Gerber, Angel Bonne.
