Jackie Davis
Jackie was born 1920 in Jacksonville, FL. He started playing the piano professionally at the age of nine. In 1943, he received a B.A. degree in Music. After his discharge from the army, he began touring the country as accompanist for such famous singers as Sarah Vaughn, Nat Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, and Dinah Washington.

In the beginning of the 50's, Jackie was highly inspired by the almost limitless potentials of the Hammond organ. He then played his first engagement as an organist at the Club Harlem in Philadelphia. Jackie was widely influenced by Wild Bill Davis.

Later, Davis worked together with Louis Jordan. For 16 years, Jackie recorded for Capitol Records. He died in 1999.
