Mike Mangan
Mike, Los Angeles based, has been influenced just as much by guitar wielding titans such as
Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix, as he has been by organists, pianists, and keyboardists
like Jimmy Smith, Gene Harris, and Keith Emerson. He founded the "Big Organ Trio" with
Brett McConnell on drums and Bernie Bauer on bass. It is said that Mangan and Big Organ Trio
achieve an originality with the organ trio format that has rarely been matched.
Mike only plays vintage Hammond B-3s through real Leslie speakers. |
