Bruce Powell
Bruce (* 1946 in Waukegan, IL) started playing bongos with his dad at jam sessions at the tender age of four. At eight years old, his dad bought a piano into their home and Bruce enrolled in the Zion Conservatory of Music, in Zion, IL. There he studied classical piano for 10 years. He played for his youth choir at the age of 14, and had his first professional debut at 16. He went on to graduate from the conservatory in 1964.

After a stint in the U.S. Air Force, Bruce traveled the world playing his music. He played in places such as Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, San Francisco, Tokyo (Japan), Stockholm (Sweden), before returning to play in Milwaukee, WI (where he now resides). He is currently music director of a church in Milwaukee. He also has his own ministry of playing concerts for elderly and shut-in all over southeastern Wisconsin. He did his graduate work in jazz theory and piano at the Wisconsin College Conservatory. He is a composer, arranger, teacher and a singer.
