Jimmie Smith
Reverend Jimmie Smith (* in Buffalo, NY) is the founder of the Effective Life Church of Atlanta. In addition, he is also a Gospel Jazz instrumentalist following in the footsteps of the late great B-3 jazz organist with the signature name Jimmy Smith. Already at a young age he showed a superior talent for music. Thanks to his sister, he started to show an interest in keyboards. Jimmie went to play at his father's church and was introduced to the Hammond B-3, an experience that became Jimmie's first love. Over the years, Jimmie Smith has supported gospel artists such as Kim Burrell, Karen Clark-Sheard and Dorinda Clark-Cole. Explosive, powerful and effective are the hallmarks of Reverend Jimmie Smith's playing style. Features you'll be introduced to on this 'Live in Music City - Jimmie Smith Plays Jimmy Smith'.
