KlangRäume 30250 Karl Scharnweber, church organ Thomas Klemm, sax Wolfgang Schmiedt, guitar On this album the trio ChoralConcert interprets Luther's most known chorals. The organ takes the part of introducing the melodies to the audience. in the further course the other instruments start their improvisations whereas the organ then acts more or less as a solid ground on which the partners can enroll a wide carpet of melodies and harmonies. In spite of having the biggest instrument at hand, Scharnweber succeeds in restraining the power of the pipe organ to be able to serve the other instruments and to support their improvisations in a fine and gentle way.
