Muse 5435 Shirley Scott, organ Buck Hill, tenor sax Arthur Harper, bass Mickey Roker, drums Shirley opens up. She shows who she is leaving behind her all shyness. Swinging along on a belling organ (only the introduction of the first track reminds of a church choral) Shirley has obviously changed her attributes of playing the organ. The tenderness and restraint of earlier albums have given away to a more impulsive, more eruptive way to play the organ. Shirley has become more dominant in regard of her co-players. |
Nevertheless: Great!
