Germany's top jazz export artist celebrates her 25th CD, "Bebabaloo", a recently released live recording
of the organ master Barbara Dennerlein. Rather than choosing a studio recording for this anniversary,
she prefered a live recording at the jazz club Lokschuppen in Hildesheim/Germany. There, Barbara performed in May 2009
together with sax player Peter Lehel and drummer Marcel Gustke. The result truely matches the occasion,
as it imparts an audio experience worthy of a jubilee. The re-mastering creates studio quality recording,
but nevertheless catches the atmosphere of the club - an almost perfect balancing act.
Undoubtedly, here is Dennerlein at her best, especially with Lehel's musical magic on his sax, and Gustke's
sensitive drumming. All nine titles are from the organist's own pen, whereby she again proves her skills in
composition. And if you aren't already one of Barbara's fans, this is where you'll become one.
