Dirk Schaadt
Dirk (* 1975) plays the organ since he was 9 years old. At the age of 12 he won the
German Technics-Organ-Festival. Later he studied jazz organ with John Hondorp at the
Conservatory Enschede in the Netherlands where he still lives. He followed masterclasses
from Alberto Marsico, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Larry Goldings (his great idol) and workshops
from the Berklee College Of Music.
After he finished his studies, he played together with Nippy Noya and Dave King in the Debbie-Sister-Sledge-Band. Since 2003, he works on stage with the modern jazz trio "Yacusy" (drums/sax/organ) and the "Felix Heydemann Groove Connection" in Germany, The Netherlands and Spain. Furthermore, he plays keyboards and organ in the Pop-Band "Soulsynergy" and works at different music schools as teacher for keyboards and music production. |
