Ike Stubblefield
Ike (*1951 in the USA) started his career as a keyboardist playing for The Four Tops,
Martha Reeves, The Temptations, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder. He performed with
such greats as George Benson, David Sanborn, B.B. King, Ike and Tina Turner, Curtis
Mayfield, Al Green, Eric Clapton, Rod Stewart, Billy Ocean, and The Pet Shop Boys.
He worked as a composer, songwriter and producer with artists like Quincy Jones, Phil Spector, Whitney Houston, Jim Capaldi, and many more. In 1999, he won the Lake Erie People's Choice Winning Award for the best performance of the year. In 2003, Ike moved to Germany, where he worked as a producer and composer. Loving the Hammond organ to a large extent and keeping the true sound of this instrument alive, Ike has started recording projects with organ and percussion, and toured Europe. In 2004, Ike moved back to the USA. |
